3 Tips for BFCM Prep

How are you feeling?  Are you okay?  Staying hydrated and remembering to eat lunch?  It's almost go-time so here are some things that we've found to be helpful to make sure we do the week before our BFCM sale hits:

Double Check Your Discounts

It sounds SO basic, because it is, but the last thing you want is to have a hiccup with your discount code when your sale goes live at midnight.  Make sure your code is correct and it's in your regular site and subscription (if they're different platforms).  Also make sure it's set correctly for $ vs. %.  

Put a Countdown Clock on Your Site

Customers are savvy and know the sale's coming anyhow AND they'll appreciate your taking care of them by telling them to wait for the sale.  You can put it on your homepage and in your banner if possible so it's viewable from any page.

Update Your Abandoned Cart Flow Interval Times

You don't want to lose people so you may want to reach out to them more quickly than you usually do.  I'd say your first email should go out 30 minutes after their cart is abandoned and the next one goes out after 4 hours.  You can decide on the third email - it could be 4 hours later or the next day - whatever you think.
